A Combined Production from Candy Stripe Circus and Electric Dollhouse, this Amazing Aerial Theatrical Feast, was first performed in it's entirety at The Adelaide Fringe 2002, receiving a four star revue. The production has since wowed audiences across Australia and Asia, and been performed in Bali, Korea, at the Australian National Circus Festival and at various other National, Corporate and Festival Events.
The story is a journey by the animated duo Felix, (Kate Reid) and Scarlett, (Zoe Ellis). A unique collaboration, this animated 'Dolly Duo' was originally created for The Sydney 2000 Olympic Arts Festival.
A 15min version of this show was performed on 'The Big Rig', at Circular Quay as part of the Sydney 2000, Olympic Arts Festival, wowing an International audience, as 'Felix attempted to innocently seduce his Rag Doll', playing her a serenade on his cello whilst suspended at 7m in the air, but, where to put the music stand?, and what happens when 'Felix's music fly's away. Swinging through the air he alights on the 'Aerial Love Heart' with his love and they traverse through a debacle of drama, love, and lost hankies.
The full 40min show is an extended version of their antics and from the moment they wake up in their toy box, their story weaves its way through a Fast, Frivolous, Roller Coaster, of Clowning, Acrobatics, Aerials, Music, Rigging, Tricks and Marvels.
Perfect for Children and Adults alike.

A Unique and Original Display of Aerial Theatre. 40mins.

Circus 'Queer Antics'

Four Stars out of Five. Messenger News 12/11/07

THIS Circus is not just a repertoire of tricks but the story of the social evolution of women.
Performed in front of a screen showing images of women as far back in time as artist Frida Kahlo in the 1940's, the small troupe of three kept the audience entertained by showing their strength, stamina, agility and creativity.

Although there is no dialogue, the show manages to bring to the surface a gamut of emotions and at times, a bloody good laugh.
Word of warning though: ...it might leave you humming the tune to 'Sisters are Doing it for Themselves'.
This is a must-see, especially for those who need confirmation that women can be strong, confident, independent and highly skilled.

Adelaide Advertiser

November 14. 2007

,... the introductory slideshow shone forth a work of art. The rope work is excellent and the Frida Kahlo routine - a braced body on a bed rising and contorting on softly streaming white fabric - is a shimmeringly brilliant piece of physical theatre. The hoop routine, given risque double entendre on the projection screen is utterly delicious - and the skills of the three girls are decidedly on the high side of the discipline. It's a quirky production that shows that new ideas can still emerge from old circus tricks.
